最根本的区别：结构网格编程的时候网格可以按照标号来：mesh(nx.ny)就可以表示第nx.ny个网格单元。非结构网格因为网格不是规则排布，因此不能这么遍历。目前没有教材讨论这些，大多一笔带过。
